Online Movement equipment Recommendations

Whether you choose to exercise at home or at a gym, I will provide you with the proper equipment recommendations to help you meet your fitness goals. This will likely include a swiss ball, dowel rod, mirror/camera, resistance bands, and dumbbells/kettlebells. 

What to expect From an In-Person MOVEMENT session

The entire session duration lasts approximately 1 hour and is entirely one-on-one. This provides a safe space free from judgments and ensures maximum effectiveness in achieving your goals. For the first portion we will discuss your current status in relation to your goals. This may involve measuring some baseline bio-markers, mental status, briefly discuss proper body mechanics related to the exercises of the session, and go over any updates related to achieving your goals. The wellness consultation typically involves a personal training session that is  approximately one hour and consists of a dynamic mobilization, stretching, warm-up, prescribed exercises, and post-training directions.

Typical 1 Hour Movement Session Breakdown

  • ​~5 minutes: Baseline​
Each session will begin by observing your current baseline, in relation to your dreams, goals, or objectives. Where you are willing to change, I will create an optimal plan to target nearly every conceivable modifiable factor to help you become the best version of you.

  • ~5 minutes: Dynamic Movement Preparation
This segment is designated to safely warm up the body in a way that stimulates the nervous system and muscles to prepare them to work out and stay injury free. I will enhance your flexibility through hands-on PNF stretching, self myofascial release rolling, as well as other techniques.

  • ~45 minutes: Customized Exercise Prescription
You are here to train. There’s no time for sitting around or texting. I will monitor your posture and regulate your rest times to keep you moving through the functional movements which may involve super sets or compound sets. This is the most efficient way to train your body by involving every muscle in each workout, but it begins with your core. Your neuromuscular system will transform in a matter of weeks.

  • ~5 minutes: Keep the End in Mind
Each session will end with a discussion of how to optimize and maintain your results by implementing mindful rituals and routines throughout your day.

* each client is unique, therefore every session may vary in time so that your individual needs are met. This time may also be reserved for any other services including, but not limited to, developing nutrient programs, enhancing holistic lifestyle awareness, assessing environmental stressors, cultivating equanimity, augmenting embodiment, and assessing your path to total human optimization.  

In-Person Movement Program Frequency

  • 1x per week: We live in a busy world. This option is available for those who want to meet in-person although are unavailable to meet more often. 
  • 2x per week: For best results, it is in your best interest to train in-person to ensure you are training with perfect form. 

In-PErson Movement Program Durations

In order to effectively reach your movement goals and transform your body, depending on your availability, it is in your best interest to train 4 days per week. If you do the work, your goals will be achieved. The program length is 12 weeks. Depending on your goals, we can lengthen your program to get the results you want. Physiological and psychological adaptations will vary based on bioindividuality, commitment, and lifestyle habits discussed when you join a program.

  • 12 Weeks - This is the optimal duration to measure true success. Any duration shorter than this may not result in your desired outcomes. During this time, Joe will motivate and inspire you to become aware of and practice that which will assist you to become the best version of you. This is a complete mesocycle. Your health and performance-related goals will be achieved by engaging in a program length of this duration whether it is weight loss, cardio-endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, balance, speed, power, reaction time, agility, etc. Let's work together to obtain the results you have always dreamed of. 
  • 1 Session - While the main program offered lasts 3 months, I provide the option for an individual session to help you get an idea of where you are in relation to what you could be doing to optimize your mind and body. Do not expect much change to occur with only one session. The purpose of attending a single session is to test the waters and see if this is something that is right for you, however it is advised to engage in a longer program for maximum results.

Custom Movement Program Examples

FUNCTIONAL FUNDAMENTALS
  • Back to the Basics
This program is designed for individuals who have not trained previously or have minimal experience training. The focus of this program is centered around kinesthetically teaching you how to increase body awareness using sound training principles. Expect to learn the benefits and fundamentals of stretching, energizing and functional exercises, core conditioning, periodization, and the lifestyle habits to maintain your results.

REHABILITATION
  • Restoration (In-person only)
This program is designed to rehabilitate acute and chronic injuries, from sports to work-related, as well prevent new injuries from occurring by targeting the common complaint areas, including but not limited to, back, neck, shoulder, elbow, hand/wrist, hip, knee, and foot/ankle. Treatment interventions include manual therapy, when indicated, such as soft tissue mobilization, cupping, trigger point release, among other techniques.

WEIGHT LOSS
  • Maximum Weight Loss *Most popular!*
In this comprehensive weight loss program, you will receive full step-by-step support in all aspects of the program covering diet/nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, emotional eating, monthly progress reports, and permanent weight loss & lifestyle management. This program is by far the best when it comes to weight loss, adding lean body mass, and toning every muscle in your body.
  • Life-Changing Weight Loss
The duration of this program is a year long. If you need to safely lose 50lbs or more and learn exactly how to create lifestyle change to permanently keep the weight off this is the only program for you. Sauna

Heat stress has a wide variety of documented benefits for the body via the release of heat shock proteins which eliminate free radicals, support antioxidant protection, and repair misfolded, damaged proteins in muscle tissue. Plan to work towards 20 minutes at 200°F to reap the benefits of your In-Person sauna session. 

Cold PLunge

Cryotherapy, just one form of the broader category of cold thermogenesis, is the treatment of injuries of inflammation via exposure to cold temperatures. Cold-water immersion is an easier method than many of the expensive chambers, and it also triggers the mammalian dive reflex! You will start with cold showers, working down to as cold as 40°F for anywhere between 30 and 300 seconds.

I am seventy-five years old, and I have been training with Joe Pineda since January, 2021. My primary goal when seeking a personal trainer was to improve my balance, strength and endurance. 

During the past year and a half, I have grown significantly and have accomplished (and continue to accomplish) my training goals. Joe Pineda was wonderful! I broke my ankle and now it’s better than before I broke it! So are my abs and he noticed something in my stance that no one else has and provided solutions. He made an online exercise plan in my account that has video examples. I can still access the treatment plan. Joe is the best!

I was diagnosed with Sacroliitis, which had created pain down my leg, changed my walking and caused  my inability to sleep at night.  Joe was my therapist and helped me with a series of exercises to strengthen my muscles and pelvis region.  He listened to my symptoms and created a plan of exercises for me.  He was very knowledgeable and he demonstrated the exercise prior to me performing it.  He was always prompt and understanding.  I recommend Joe.

​I had a great experience with Joe. I had an injury that caused sciatic nerve pain. He recognized my ability level and need for hard exercises. Joe helped me regain some functional stabilizer strength and focused me to get a better awareness of my low abs, back stabilizers, and hip flexors. The importance of this type of strength as it relates to my overall health can't be overlooked and I will continue to incorporate the exercises Joe taught me into my training routine.
